Finish the beading. All 28 flowers. I can do it. I really can!

Provided doing nothing doesn't distract me too much :)

I have to be done by Tuesday though. Which means Monday. Since I have more classes starting Tuesday and the goal has always been to be done with the bodice before classes :)

Nine more flowers have been added to the bodice. Twenty nine more, I think that makes it?

Now I'm thinking about adding velvet ribbon above the flowers on the sleeves. To echo the two rows on the bodice. But maybe not. I should take pictures of both options later...

And yay weekend. And yay having Monday off. And I use the word yay a lot...

One sleeve is done, which means I'm half done with the whole thing. Just one more sleeve and the beads below the ruching to go! That is, unless I decide I want more. Though I'm not sure where I'd put them...

Tonight as I was trimming the sleeve with velvet I noticed that the silk lining of the sleeve that gave me so much trouble last night was loose in two places. Not only did I have to unpick the sleeve in those spots, but I also had to unpick the basting and re-pleat a little. While not that bad, rather annoying ( Read more... )

The first half of the first half of the velvet ribbon on the bodice is sewn. Now to sew the second half of the first half, then the second piece, then the sleeves, and then I can bead :)

How's that for a sentence :)

And An Auction for Aubry seems to be going really well already. Hooray!
